Volunteers: Thanks a million for all volunteers. Many local residents volunteered and some drove for many miles and several states. Without you, this rallye would not have happened. Again thanks |

Howdy Y’all,
I suspect many of you are wondering when the next Nocona or Paris rally is going to happen. So are we.
There has been some speculation on the Internet that we are a bit crosswise with politicians. The fact is, the politicians like our events. We continue to work closely with both Nocona and Roxton/Paris.
However, we are not doing any better with the rain gods than Rick Perry. Red flag conditions for fire remain. A simple off into a ditch full of dry leaves could cause a serious fire. Given that over 2500 homes have been lost in Texas this year due to fire, we will not take that chance. The red flag conditions are unlikely to be relaxed until next spring when new growth replaces the dried stuff that will be present through the winter. And that assumes we have normal rain over the winter. The present long term forecast is for a dry winter and spring.
So, hope for rain and we will keep you posted.
